About Enterprise State Community College

Enterprise State Community College is a public community scholastic in Enterprise, Alabama. It was created by the Alabama State Board of Education in February 2003 by reorganizing Enterprise State Junior College to total the Alabama Aviation Centers at Ozark and Mobile. In December 2009, the Alabama State Board of Education approved a name amend for the speculative to Enterprise State Community College as soon as a publicity name for the aviation programs as the Alabama Aviation College, a unit of Enterprise State Community College.

Enterprise State Community College in Enterprise, AL Review

Enterprise is a city in the southeastern share of Coffee County and the southwestern share of Dale County in southeastern Alabama. Its population was 26,562 at the 2010 census. Enterprise is the primary city of the Enterprise micropolitan statistical area (with the allowance of the city in Dale County share of the Ozark micropolitan statistical area), and is also ration of the Dothan-Enterprise-Ozark amassed statistical area.

Enterprise is well-known for the Boll Weevil Monument, a large monument of a girl holding a boll weevil, in the middle of Main Street. The city erected the statue because the destruction of the cotton crop by the boll weevil had led to agricultural diversity, starting as soon as peanuts and more privileged circumstances than had ever come from cotton alone. It the lonely statue to an insect pest in the world. Enterprise is right outdoor the U.S. Army’s Fort Rucker, the home of Army Aviation.
