The College of Southern Maryland (CSM) is a public community educational with campuses in Hughesville, La Plata, Leonardtown, and Prince Frederick, Maryland. It serves students blooming in Southern Maryland’s Charles, St. Mary’s, and Calvert counties.

La Plata /ləˈpleɪtə/ is a town in Charles County, Maryland, United States. The population was 8,753 at the 2010 census. It is the county chair of Charles County.
