About Austin College

Austin College is a private militant arts educational affiliated considering the Presbyterian Church (USA) and located in Sherman, Texas.

About 1,300 students are enrolled at the college. Students are required to live on campus for the first three years of their education in order to support a close-knit and community oriented campus lifestyle. Austin College actively promotes breakdown abroad programs; 70% of former students have at least one international investigation experience during college, and not quite 82% of students are enthusiastic in research. The assistant professor cultivates close interaction amongst students and professors via a 13:1 student to power ratio and an average class size of fewer than 25 students.

Chartered in November 1849, Austin College remains the oldest institution of unconventional education in Texas to be operating under its original charter and state as attributed by the State Historical Survey Committee.
