About Wisconsin Technical College System

Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS) is a system of 16 public mysterious colleges administered by the state of Wisconsin. The system offers over 500 programs, awarding two-year partner degrees, one- and two-year mysterious diplomas, and short-term complex diplomas and certificates. It moreover provides training and technical assistance to Wisconsin’s concern and industry community. Over 370,000 individuals accessed the puzzling colleges for education and training in the 2010-11 scholarly year.

Located upon an isthmus and lands surrounding four lakes—Lake Mendota, Lake Monona, Lake Kegonsa and Lake Waubesa—the city is house to the University of Wisconsin–Madison, the Wisconsin State Capitol, Henry Vilas Zoo, lakes, and an extensive network of parks and bike trails. It is also home to eight National Historic Landmarks, including one UNESCO World Heritage Site. Madison has historically been a center for forward-thinking political activity, protests, and demonstrations. The presence of the University of Wisconsin–Madison (the largest employer in the state) as with ease as other bookish institutions has a significant impact upon the economy, culture, and demographics of Madison.

Madison is a growing technology economy, and the region is home to the headquarters of Epic Systems, American Family Insurance, Exact Sciences, Promega, American Girl, Sub-Zero, Lands’ End, a regional office for Google, and the University Research Park, as without difficulty as many biotech and health systems startups.
