About University of Wisconsin Superior

The University of Wisconsin–Superior (UW–Superior or UWS) is a public radical arts university in Superior, Wisconsin. UW–Superior grants associate, bachelor’s, master’s, and specialist’s degrees. The academic circles enrolls practically 2,500 undergraduates and 200 graduate students.

Superior is a city in, and the county chair of, Douglas County in the give leave to enter of Wisconsin. The population was 27,244 at the 2010 census. Superior and the adjoining city across the bay, Duluth, Minnesota, form a single metropolitan area called the Twin Ports. They part a port that is one of the most important ports on the Great Lakes. Both cities feature museum ships (SS William A. Irvin in Duluth and SS Meteor in Superior), devoted to the local maritime heritage. Superior was the final port of call for SS Edmund Fitzgerald previously her sinking on November 10, 1975.
