Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania (The Rock or SRU) is a public academe in Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania. SRU is a believer of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE). The academe has been coeducational past its founding in 1889. Its campus occupies 611 acres (2.4 km²).

Slippery Rock is a borough in Butler County, Pennsylvania. The population was 3,625 at the 2010 census. Slippery Rock is included in the Greater Pittsburgh Region. It is home to Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania, home to approximately 9,000 students as a enthusiast of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education.
