St. Petersburg College (SPC) is a public college in Pinellas County, Florida. It is portion of the Florida College System and one of the institutions in the system designated a “state college,” as it offers a greater number of four-year bachelor’s degrees than acknowledged two-year community colleges focused on associate degrees. With an average of some 361 days of sunshine each year, and a Guinness World Record for logging the most consecutive days of sunshine (768 days together with 1967 and 1969), it is nicknamed “The Sunshine City”. Located on the Gulf of Mexico, the average water temperature is typically going on for 76 °F (24 °C). In 2020, St. Petersburg was awarded a spot on “the summit cities to visit” in Conde Nast’s 33rd annual Conde Nast Traveler 2020 Reader’s Choice Awards.
