Roane State Community College is a public community school in eastern Tennessee in imitation of its main campus in Harriman. It was authorized by the Tennessee General Assembly in 1969, along in the same way as two new community colleges, and operates under the authority of the Tennessee Board of Regents.

Roane State’s “main” campus is in Harriman. Additional campuses are located in Oak Ridge, LaFollette, Crossville, Jamestown, Knoxville, Lenoir City, Huntsville, and Wartburg.
