About Mount Vernon Nazarene University

Mount Vernon Nazarene University (MVNU) is a Christian advanced arts moot in Mount Vernon, Ohio, with satellite locations in the surrounding area. It was founded in 1968 by the Church of the Nazarene and offers a variety of Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees to both standard and non-traditional students. MVNU is also home to Cougar Athletics.

Mount Vernon is a city in Knox County, Ohio, United States. It is located 40 miles (64 km) northeast of Columbus. The population was 16,990 at the 2010 census. It is the county chair of Knox County.
