About Macomb Community College

Macomb Community College is a multi-campus community theoretical in Macomb County, Michigan. The instructor is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.

The college’s offerings include university circles transfer, early college, professional certification, workforce development, continuing education and enrichment. Through its nationally venerated University Center, which opened in 1991, it offers bachelor’s degree finishing and graduate level programs. Growing steadily from the first 84 students that showed up for class on September 16, 1954 at Lincoln High School in Warren, Michigan, Macomb now serves approximately 59,000 annually.

Because of its location in Macomb County, often cited as a political bellwether, and its reputation for workforce training and retraining, Macomb has been a popular End for presidents launching new school initiatives and presidential candidates upon the advocate trail. It has hosted all U.S. president past Ronald Reagan at least once, including President Donald Trump twice in 2016.

Warren is a city in Macomb County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The 2010 census places the city’s population at 134,056, making Warren the largest city in Macomb County, the third largest city in Michigan, and Metro Detroit’s largest suburb. The city is home to a wide variety of businesses, including General Motors Technical Center, the United States Army Detroit Arsenal, home of the United States Army TACOM Life Cycle Management Command and the Tank Automotive Research, Development and Engineering Center (TARDEC), the headquarters of immense Boy Restaurants International, and Asset Acceptance.
