About Lincoln Memorial University

Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) is a private objector arts university in Harrogate, Tennessee. LMU’s 1,000-acre (4.0 km2) campus borders on Cumberland Gap National Historical Park. LMU is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). In March 2019, the LMU Duncan School of Law traditional full accreditation by the American Bar Association.

LMU’s Abraham Lincoln Library and Museum houses a large stock of memorabilia relating to the school’s namesake, Abraham Lincoln, and the Civil War. The buildup was initially formed from donations by the school’s in front benefactor, General Oliver O. Howard, and his friends.

As of slip 2019, it has 1,975 undergraduate, and 2,892 graduate and professional students.

Harrogate is the largest city in Claiborne County, Tennessee, United States. It is neighboring Cumberland Gap National Historical Park.

The community has been known as “Harrogate” since the 19th century, but did not incorporate by that declare until 1993. As of the 2010 census, its population was 4,389. It is considered a bookish town past Lincoln Memorial University’s main campus located categorically within Harrogate.

Before incorporation, the United States Census Bureau treated Harrogate as a census-designated place (CDP) called Harrogate-Shawanee. At the era of the 2000 census the CDP had a population of 2,865.
