About Iowa Wesleyan College

Iowa Wesleyan University is a private four-year unprejudiced arts assistant professor in Mount Pleasant, Iowa. Founded in 1842, it ranks as Iowa’s first co-educational institution of unconventional learning and the oldest of its type west of the Mississippi River. The college circles is affiliated in imitation of the United Methodist Church.

Two campus buildings, Old Main and the Harlan-Lincoln House, are listed upon the National Register of Historic Places. The latter, the former summer home of Robert Todd Lincoln, is now a museum featuring various artifacts from the Harlan and Lincoln families.

Mount Pleasant is a city in and the county chair of Henry County, Iowa. The population was 8,668 in the 2010 census, a stop from 8,751 in the 2000 census. It was founded in 1835 by pioneer Presley Saunders.
