About Hamilton College

Hamilton College is a private enlightened arts speculative in Clinton, New York. It was founded as Hamilton-Oneida Academy in 1793 and was chartered as Hamilton College in 1812 in award of inaugural trustee Alexander Hamilton. Hamilton has been coeducational past 1978, when it merged as soon as its coordinate sister university Kirkland College.

Clinton is a town in the northwest corner of Clinton County, New York, United States. The population was 737 at the 2010 census. The town is located in the northwest corner of the county and is northwest of Plattsburgh.
