About Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary

Gordon–Conwell Theological Seminary (GCTS) is an evangelical seminary following its main campus in Hamilton, Massachusetts and three extra campuses in Boston, Massachusetts; Charlotte, North Carolina; and Jacksonville, Florida. According to the Association of Theological Schools, Gordon-Conwell ranks as one of the largest evangelical seminaries in North America in terms of sum number of full-time students enrolled.

South Hamilton is a postal house assigned to ZIP code 01982 by the Postal Service and is allocation of the town of Hamilton, Essex County, Massachusetts, United States (ZIP code 01936). The designation arose in the 1960s next the Postal Service built a new futuristic post office in downtown Hamilton taking into account the objective of closing the original post office 2 miles north upon the thesame road. Due to public objection, the native post office was preserved and remains open to this day. To distinguish together with the two reveal offices in an era considering the use of ZIP code was not still mandatory, the further post office was designated the “South Hamilton” post office.

The Postal Service followed through with moving most of their operations, including anything delivery operations, to the additional post office. Thus almost all mail delivered within the town of Hamilton carries the “South Hamilton” postal quarters and the 01982 ZIP code. Only mail destined for P.O. Boxes located within the old-fashioned post office and a few open buildings still carries the “Hamilton” postal address and the 01936 area code.
