About Davenport University

Davenport University is a private, not for profit, university similar to campuses throughout Michigan and online. It was founded in 1866 by Conrad Swensburg and currently offers associate’s, bachelor’s, and master’s degrees; diplomas; and post-grad authorization programs in business, technology, health professions, and graduate studies (MBA).

Davenport’s W.A. Lettinga Main Campus is in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The main campus includes student organizations, residence halls, and supple programs.

Grand Rapids is the second-largest city in Michigan and the county seat of Kent County. Situated along the Grand River approximately 30 miles (48 km) east of Lake Michigan, it is the economic and cultural hub of West Michigan, the fastest growing major city in Michigan, and one of the fastest growing cities in the Midwest. Grand Rapids is the childhood home of U.S. President Gerald Ford, who is buried in the way of being of his wife Betty upon the grounds of the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum in the city. The city’s main airstrip and one of its freeways are named after him.
