Citrus College is a community learned located in the Los Angeles suburb of Glendora, California. The Citrus Community College District which supports the researcher includes the communities of Glendora, Azusa, Charter Oak, Claremont, Monrovia, and Duarte. The college is the oldest public community literary in Los Angeles County, California; it was founded in 1915 by educator Floyd S. Hayden. Until 1961 the educational was operated by the Citrus Union High School District and served the local area as both a high school and college. As of 2006, Citrus College enrolls higher than 12,000 students.

According to the Public Policy Institute of California, Citrus College had 632 students who transferred to universities during the 2005–2006 academic year, ranking seventh in the area.[citation needed]

Glendora is a city in the San Gabriel Valley in Los Angeles County, California, 26 miles (42 km) east of Los Angeles. As of the 2010 census, the population of Glendora was 50,073.

Known as the “Pride of the Foothills”, Glendora is nestled in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains. Its downtown area, locally known as the Glendora Village, hosts dozens of restaurants, cafes, shops, and boutiques along Glendora Avenue in the same way as many community deeds scheduled throughout the year. It has been voted as one of the best and friendliest downtowns in the San Gabriel Valley for the last eight years. A suburban feel, low crime rates, and a consistently high-ranking theoretical district has made the city an attractive choice for families in the region.[citation needed] Glendora was incorporated upon November 13, 1911, the 25th city to accomplish incorporation in Los Angeles County.

Neighborhoods and residences in Glendora reflect the city’s archives and range from Queen Annes, to Folk Victorians, early 20th-century bungalows, to ranch style homes, to mid-rise multi-family residential complexes, to enlightened mansions. Glendora’s most costly neighborhoods contain many no question large, secluded, estate homes once views across the San Gabriel Valley to Downtown Los Angeles. Glendora is also house to the Glendora Country Club, which includes a Robert Trent Jones Sr. 18-hole golf course that has been played by many professional golfers.[citation needed]

Glendora is bordered by Azusa and the unincorporated community of Citrus to the west, San Dimas to the east and south, Covina and the unincorporated community of Charter Oak to the south, and the San Gabriel Mountains range to the north.
