About Central Piedmont Community College

Central Piedmont Community College (Central Piedmont) is a public community college in Charlotte, North Carolina. With an enrollment of higher than 50,000 students annually, Central Piedmont is the second largest community scholastic in the North Carolina Community College System and the largest in the Charlotte metropolitan area. The assistant professor has six campuses and three centers and offers approximately 300 degree, diploma and certificate programs.

Charlotte has a humid subtropical climate. It is located several miles east of the Catawba River and southeast of Lake Norman, the largest man-made lake in North Carolina. Lake Wylie and Mountain Island Lake are two smaller man-made lakes located near the city.
