About Berea College

Berea College is a private unbiased arts work instructor in Berea, Kentucky. Founded in 1855, Berea College is distinctive among post-secondary institutions for providing pardon education to students and for having been the first scholarly in the Southern United States to be coeducational and racially integrated. Berea College charges no tuition; every admitted student is provided the equivalent of a four-year scholarship.

Berea offers bachelor’s degrees in 32 majors. It has a full-participation work-study program in which students are required to function at least 10 hours per week in campus and benefits jobs in any of exceeding 130 departments. Berea is a home rule-class city in Madison County, Kentucky, in the United States. The town is best known for its art festivals, historic restaurants and buildings, and as the home to Berea College, a private innovative arts college. The population was 13,561 at the 2010 census.
