About Bellevue University

Bellevue University is a private college circles in Bellevue, Nebraska. It opened in 1966 and from the outset has focused upon providing adult education and intellectual outreach. As of 2011, 80% of its undergraduates were aged 25 and over. The university circles has on peak of 10,000 students enrolled in a variety of undergraduate and graduate programs.

Bellevue (French for “beautiful view”; previously named Belleview) is a city in Sarpy County. The population was 50,137 at the 2010 census. Bellevue is portion of the Omaha-Council Bluffs metropolitan area. Originally arranged by European Americans in the 1830s, Bellevue was incorporated in 1855 and is the oldest continuous town in Nebraska. The Nebraska State Legislature has ascribed the town as swine the second-oldest treaty in Nebraska. It was in imitation of the chair of direction in Nebraska.
