Bakersfield College (BC) is a public community teacher in Bakersfield, California. BC serves more or less 22,000 students each semester or 31,000 annually, and offers Associate degrees, certificate programs, and is one of fifteen California Community Colleges offering a Baccalaureate Degree. It is allowance of the Kern Community College District (KCCD), which is itself ration of the California Community Colleges system.

Bakersfield is a charter city in Kern County, California, United States. It is the county seat and largest city of Kern County. The city covers just about 151 sq mi (390 km2) near the southern halt of the San Joaquin Valley and the Central Valley region. Bakersfield’s population as of the last attributed United States Census in 2010 is 347,483 making it the 52nd-most populous city in the United States of America and the 9th-most populous city in California. Industries in and regarding Bakersfield intensify natural gas and new energy extraction, mining, petroleum refining, distribution, food processing, and corporate regional offices. The city is next the birthplace of the country music genre known as the Bakersfield sound.
