Anaheim University is a nationally accredited for-profit university based in Anaheim, California.

It was founded in 1996 as the Newport Asia Pacific University and the name was untouched seven years future to Anaheim University.

The University is accredited by the Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC), an moot accreditation agency founded in 1926 located in Washington, D.C. The DEAC is qualified by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and the United States Department of Education as an accreditor of institutions of later education. Anaheim University claims to be one of the first online universities in the United States to present graduate degree programs utterly online. The University, is based in the City of Anaheim in Orange County, California USA.

The University is made taking place of three graduate schools: the Graduate School of Education, the Akio Morita School of Business (named after Sony founder Akio Morita), and the Akira Kurosawa School of Film (named after Akira Kurosawa). It moreover contains three institutes: the David Nunan TESOL Institute (established to award David Nunan), the Carland Entrepreneurship Institute and the Kisho Kurokawa Green Institute (conceived by architect Kisho Kurokawa).

The university circles is best known for its online degree and sanction programs in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages).

Anaheim (/ˈænəhaɪm/) is a city in Orange County, California, part of the Los Angeles metropolitan area. As of the 2010 United States Census, the city had a population of 336,265, making it the most populous city in Orange County, the 10th-most populous city in California, and the 55th-most populous city in the United States. Anaheim is the second-largest city in Orange County in terms of house area, and is known for inborn the home of the Disneyland Resort, the Anaheim Convention Center, and two major sports teams: the Anaheim Ducks ice hockey club and the Los Angeles Angels baseball team.

Anaheim was founded by fifty German families in 1857 and incorporated as the second city in Los Angeles County upon March 18, 1876; Orange County was split off from Los Angeles County in 1889. Anaheim remained largely an agricultural community until Disneyland opened in 1955. This led to the construction of several hotels and motels going on for the area, and residential districts in Anaheim soon followed. Anaheim’s city limits extend more or less the full width of Orange County, from Cypress in the west, twenty miles east to the Riverside County origin in the east, encompassing a diverse range of neighborhoods. This edge city includes the Disneyland Resort, with two theme parks, multiple hotels, and retail district; Disney is portion of the larger Anaheim Resort district considering numerous additional hotels and retail complexes. The Platinum Triangle, a neo-urban redevelopment district surrounding Angel Stadium, which is planned to be populated as soon as mixed-use streets and high-rises. Further east, Anaheim Canyon is an industrial district north of the Riverside Freeway and east of the Orange Freeway. The city’s eastern third consists of Anaheim Hills, a community built to a master plan, and edit land east of the 241 tollway.
